Sharing my adventures in beads and glass
May 5, 2016
About 5 years ago, as part of my research on the history of beads, I started learning to do beadwork. A year later, I started learning to make glass beads to understand historical glass techniques better. What started out as research, opened up a new world of making art and jewelry for me. Starting to write about this process, is the next step.
Work in progress in my studio
In the last years I have worked on creating my art, and it has taken me places I never expected. Making hundreds of glass pins for a single project. Working on a beaded cloth with more than 1.5 pounds of size 15 beads. Learning that there is so much more that can be done with beads than just make jewelry. It has been an amazing ride so far, and I am looking forward to see where it takes me.
In this blog I will share my latest bead and glass adventures. From specific pieces of art to techniques and stories of my travels.
